Norris Square Civic Association

Another year indeed; it signifies all the hard work, NSCA Employees put on on a daily basis for a cause they believe in; it summarizes the accomplishments and clarifies the goals ahead.

It’s a reminder, that the task is not done, yet; we have something to communicate of what we’ve been doing back to our community. It was a day full of reflections, and what we are looking at going forward.

Norris Square Civic Association celebrated the day with Mr. Frank Franco attending, with his generous gift to our community. The result from another activity. A fundraiser at his McDonald’s Restaurant on 2nd Street and Lehigh Avenue. Thanks again, Mr Franco!

Executive Director Pat DeCarlo summarized what transpired between September of 2009 and October of 2010, with a power point presentation that compiled all the reports of activities, events and the numbers from every NSCA Department, and what lies ahead.

Our Fiscal Department quickly followed up with the financial state of Norris Square Civic Association.

Special Speaker Guest and NSCA Board Secretary, Dianne Santiago, made a great introduction of the St. Boniface’s Development Plan. The attending Audience then, had a chance to view all the different options presented for this plan.

The NSCA Members were given a chance to vote and select future Members of our Board of Directors; as well as an opportunity to vote for the project of their choice. The top options will then be featured at another event by the NSCA, a finalist on what our community wants this project to become in the future will be announced.

Everybody at the end, enjoyed an incredible dinner prepared by our staff and the Children Center, Chef Maria de Jesus. This dinner was really delicious, it was worthy of a great culmination of another year at the NSCA.
